ScoutComms Summer 2017 Internship – Advocate for Veterans & Military Families

ScoutComms seeks motivated, hard-working interns for the summer. Interns will provide communications, marketing, research and event support to Fortune 500 companies, veteran-owned businesses and veteran-focused non-profits.

Ideal candidates will have outstanding written and oral communications skills, an interest in veteran and military family issues, as well as strong social media and research skills. Veterans and military family members are encouraged to apply. Experience in public relations, digital media and/or marketing is a plus.

ScoutComms interns provide support to staff by conducting media and issue research, media and community outreach, project and event support, report creation, and other company tasks.

This position is an ideal opportunity for eager, driven college and graduate students to hone their communications skills while developing deep knowledge of the national and local veteran and military family communities.

ScoutComms pays interns a monthly stipend and provides a grant from the ScoutComms Intern Education Fund to cover educational expenses.

The ScoutComms office is in Fredericksburg, VA, and is the primary work location for this position.
