ScoutComms Debuts on O’Dwyer’s National PR Firm Rankings
Company recognized as seventh-fastest growing PR firm of 2017
Fredericksburg, Va., April 13, 2017 —ScoutComms has been recognized by O’Dwyer’s PR News as one of the nation’s fastest-growing PR firms in the news outlet’s 2017 rankings.
ScoutComms came in seventh nationally for growth among all PR firms ranked by O’Dwyer’s on the 2017 list, after enjoying a record year in which revenues increased nearly 75 percent. In addition, the company ranked 113th nationally based on overall 2016 revenues.
O’Dwyer’s has been the nation’s top news outlet for public relations, public affairs, and marketing communications since 1968. Its annual PR Firm Rankings list is the gold standard in the industry, as it is the only ranking system that requires companies to provide tax documentation to verify numbers and to distinguish PR firms from ad agencies and other types of related businesses.
“It’s really an honor to find ourselves so high on the growth list this year after our incredible 2016 and continued success this year,” said ScoutComms founder and CEO Fred Wellman. “When I launched the firm in 2010, I turned to O’Dwyer’s annual listings as my primary source to identify agencies with which to partner, so it’s a special thrill to be part of this great community of leading agencies.”
ScoutComms enters O’Dwyer’s national PR firm rankings in the wake of its most successful year ever. Among the year’s highlights, the company surpassed $1 million in revenue for the first time; launched its new market research team, Scout Insight; and hired Rory Brosius, the former Deputy Director of the White House’s Joining Forces Initiative.
The company will be profiled in O’Dwyer’s May rankings issue, where top ranked PR firms will be given the chance to talk about themselves in their own words.
