ScoutComms Honored as ‘Best for the World’ Company Creating Most Positive Customer Impact

Recognition bestowed for second year in a row since becoming eligible

Fredericksburg, Va., September 12, 2017 — Today, ScoutComms was recognized as being among the “Best for the World” companies which create the most positive overall impact on their customers based on an independent, comprehensive assessment administered by the nonprofit B Lab. Honorees are featured on B the Change, the digital Medium publication produced by B Lab, at http://www.bthechange.com.

ScoutComms, the nation’s leading communications and consulting firm dedicated to providing services that empower veterans and military families, is honored in the Best for Customers category, which includes businesses that earned a Customer score in the top 10 percent of all global Certified B Corporations (B Corps) on the B Impact Assessment. This is the second year ScoutComms was eligible for recognition, after becoming a certified B Corporation in June 2015 and the second time recognized as a Best for the World firm.

The Customer portion of the B Impact Assessment measures the impact a company has on its customers by focusing on whether a company sells products or services that promote public benefit and if those products or services are targeted toward serving underserved populations. Honorees scoring in the top 10 percent set a gold standard for the high impact that business as a force for good can make on consumers around the world. ScoutComms made the list thanks to exceptional practices exclusively supporting companies that are associated with supporting veterans and military families.

A total of 846 Certified B Corporations were named 2017 Best for the World Honorees, including: Patagonia; Seventh Generation; National Co+op Grocers; and Business Development Bank of Canada.
